This site has been created using The Brain TheBrain: The Ultimate Digital Memory. Information about navigating the user interface can be found at: TheBrain Tutorials. To summarize, a brain is made up of thoughts. Thoughts can have one or more parent and children thoughts. Parent thoughts are linked from above. Children thoughts are linked from below. Thoughts can also have sibling (or related) thoughts that are side links. Thoughts can be typed and can have tags. Many of the thoughts include links to the official Egeria documentation.
The Egeria Open Metadata Type can be one of four categories:
- Entity Definitions - represent a concept such as DataSet. An entity can have super types and sub types. The top-level entity type is OpenMetadataRoot. An entity’s children are its subtypes and attributes. For example, TableDataSet is a subtype of DataSet. DataSet has attributes (e.g. formula and formulaType). Entity names always start with a capital letter.
- Attribute Definitions - are properties associated with Entities, Relationships, or Classifications. Two attributes of DataSet are formula and formulaType. Attribute names are in camelcase starting with a lower case letter.
- Classification Definitions - Entities can be classified with one or more classifications. A DesignModel , which inherits from Asset may be classified as a ConceptModel.
- Relationship Definitions - Two entities can be related with a relationship. Relationships can also have attributes. Relationships are shown as siblings to an entity. For example, DataContentForDataset relates one or more datasets to one or more assets. Relationships are indicated with a relates label on the arc.
Navigation can begin in one of three ways:
- Use the search bar to type in a type or phrase you wish to explore.
- Click on one of the “Pins” to jump to a pinned topic such as OpenMetadataRoot or Types
- Follow the links from the “Start Here - README” thought.
