Preface

I love Ron’s example of why we put tefillin on our arms first, then our head, suggesting it's because we have to change our behavior before we change our thoughts

Coaching is about changing behavior.

Subscription model businesses are more about coaching than anything else.

And what were trying to do is change our clients’ behavior.

Cognitive dissonance is a psychological concept introduced by Leon Festinger in 1957. It refers to the mental discomfort or stress experienced by a person who holds two or more contradictory beliefs, values, or ideas simultaneously. This discomfort often leads individuals to change their beliefs or behaviors to reduce the inconsistency and restore mental harmony. For example, if someone values health but smokes cigarettes, they might experience cognitive dissonance and attempt to quit smoking or rationalize the behavior to lessen the discomfort.

The term "tectonic" relates to the structure and movement of the Earth's crust. It is often used in the context of geology, particularly regarding tectonic plates, which are the large, rigid pieces of the Earth's surface that move and interact. These movements can cause earthquakes, volcanic activity, mountain-building, and other geological phenomena. The study of these processes is known as plate tectonics.

Strategic infection points? Or inflection points?

Clients vs customers?

Jay Abraham defines clients as being under your protection and customers as transactional.

Why do Ron and Paul define it differently? Opposite it seems. Is it just semantics?
