unity and distinction can coexist

ex. husband and wife, boss and employee all human yet one has authority over the other

1. objects are physical things( chairs, trees)
2. abstract objects aren't physical (numbers concepts, redness)

ex. time

past present and future are all time but RELATIONALLY past precedes present and present precedes future
