SEARCH HELP
Search
The easiest way to find a person, is the use the SEARCH box above, at the far left of the tool bar.
Enter a Lastname/surname, a firstname/forename or part of a name - The database will start listing possible matches.
Examples:
- Ableman will give you a list of people with that name
- For women, search for a maiden name or married name(s)
- The search will look for each part of the name entered, so Marion Bair will give you Marion Frances Higley Bair as a result.
- We enter names from many sources, and the source may not have a correct spelling. So, try common mis-spellings if you don't get a result.
Return to Home
You can click through and browse the Brain to explore in many ways. BUT you can always click the HOUSE symbol on the tool bar to get back to the start.

Attached files and images
Some entries have one or more image files, pdf files, doc (Microsoft Word) files, or MD files.
- If you hover over an attachment, a DOWNLOAD symbol will appear to the right. Click it to download a copy of the item. You need to do this one-at-a-time.
- The same download button will appear if you click or right-click the item.
The Main Note contents
- Here you will need to do a copy and paste action. You will either use the CMD key or the Ctrl Key depending on your system. But the commands are straight forward
- CMD/Ctrl and A to select everything from the Title through any "Unlinked Mentions" at the bottom of the page.
- CMD/Ctrl and C to COPY
- Go to your choice of blank word processing document
- CMD/Ctrl and V to PASTE - This paste will bring over both text and images as long as your destination document type allows it.
- I know Google Docs and Microsoft Word will bring in everything intact.
- If you have questions or problems please contact us information@cheneymuseum.org and tell us which entry and we can assist you.
