Dorothy Abel

Funeral services will be held

for Dorothy Abel on Friday,

June 15, at 2 p.m. at St. Rose of

Lima Catholic Church in

Cheney. She died Monday at

Mrs. Abel was born and

raised in Missoula, Mont. She

graduated frome St. Patrick's

School of Nursing in 1964. She

worked as a nurse in San Fran-

cisco until 1968 when she

moved to Spokane. She married

Robert Abel in 1971.

Her nursing career included

positions at Valley General

Deconess, Coulee Dam Com-

munity Hospital and Eastern

State Hospital. She touched the

lives of her patients and co-

workers and influenced many

people through her kindness

and love.

Mrs. Abel is survived by her

husband, Bob; children, Tony and

fiancée, Jami, Of Medical Lake,

Chris, and his wife, Mackenzie,

and their daughter, Emily Rose,

of Goose Creek, S.C., Beth, and

her husband, Jeff Toulou, of Spo-

kane; a brother, Tom O'Connor,

and his son, Pat, both of Arlee,

Mont.; and a very special cousin,

Gerrie Curry, of Missoula.

In lieu of. flowers, 40nations

may be made to Hospice of Spo-

kane.
