Press Drill Table jig

March 2022:

Made a sliding table top for the Tanner vertical Press Drill.

The bolts down through the top plate slide in the slots of the actual cast metal drill table. Fitted with wing nuts under for easy forward & back depth adjustment.

Sideways depth control is a wooden stop that slides on the back fence. Again, wing nut fixed.

Complete with multi-holed rocker adjustable work piece hold down clamp.

Later fitted with side plates to keep the top running along the cast metal sides.

and later fitted with an extension for longer stop increments...required on a project...

Note the use of vacuum cleaner hose for dust extraction.

Work pieces can also be held down with ‘F’ clamps...as seen in drilling these game boards...
