Tilt Top Table

April 2024:

Cleaned up the top of a Tilt Top Table for a client.

Very hard old shellac or varnish on mahogany wood.

Use my old saw blade scraper. Then finished surface with 0000 grade wire wool.

Client choose to redo a shellac finish.

Original condition of the top was marked with heat spots, cross grain sanding lines, dings and large zig-zag scratches.
