Nested Tables

V. Carroll

May 2024:

Repaired a set of nested tables that got damaged when something fell on them.

Table set was a family treasure originally made by the client’s father many years ago!

My repair...

The work included, new missing rail, new dowels to other rails broken off, big ding in large table top filled and disguised, tear out of dowel holes patched filled and re glued, various faces of nearly all pieces sanded, re-stained and new multi-coat shellac finish to all.

Damaged condition of the larger table...all in pieces...

Worn out condition of the smaller table, with missing rail and terrible rough previous attempt at gluing it up...
