Donation Box

June - August 2023:

Made a new Donation Box for a local Art Gallery.

Mostly made from NZ native timbers; Rimu, Kauri, Pine plywood, MDF, + Plastic, Brass and Modelling Clay.

The design included a slot along the back for brochures to explain the gallery.

There is a trapdoor in the bottom to be able to remove the donations.

The design was modelled on the adjacent Power House historic building.

The finials at each end of the money slot were turned out of some old hardwood meat skewers I collected back in the 1970’s when the butcher used to pin the rolls of beef with wood ready for roasting!
