Shooting Board

February 2023:

Make a full bench length shooting board with multiple sliding adjustable hold down Festool clamp locations. Gets work pieces planed perfectly at right angles.

When used for long grain work pieces...clamps at ends of work piece...

Has an adjustable top fence to set the required work piece planing depth.

When used for cross/end grain work pieces...clamps over the top of work piece...

Modified the handle of an old Marples No. 5 bench plane to hold at 45 degrees.

Plane slides on the bees waxed plywood base of the shooting board.

Latter modified the whole board with a front apron that clamps in the bench face vise, to save having to use clamps at each end. Quicker to set up for use.
