D. Connect variables

To establish or alter the links between the variables the button CONNECT has to be activated. A small grey bar with the different kinds of connections appears on top: The mouse arrow (to move variables and connections), a fully lined arrow (= parallel effect), a dotted arrow (= opposing effect), a crossed arrow (to delete a connection) and in addition 5 different colors for marking special variables,

To build up a link, the effecting variable must be clicked briefly with the left mouse key. If you now move the draw- ing pencil with the mouse to another variable, it will pull the arrow you have selected in the grey bar like an elastic band. Now click again on the target variable and the link is established. 16 arrows at the most can be tied up at every variable.

Corrections or deletions can be made by repeating the procedure with the correct kind of arrow. They can also be made directly at the connection lines by clicking with the right mouse key and selecting the change to be made from the context window.

To change the color of a variable just click into the desired color in the grey bar. The mouse now has changed to a brush that puts the color in the variable(s) you click on.
