Jupyter notebook
A Jupyter Notebook app lets you create and run interactive documents that combine:
- Executable code, commonly Python
- Output, such as calculations, charts, and tables
- Explanatory text using Markdown
- Images, equations, and rich media
You work in separate cells, running them individually and seeing results immediately.
This makes Jupyter useful for:
- Data analysis and visualization
- Machine learning experiments
- Scientific and engineering calculations
- Teaching and tutorials
- Prototyping and documenting code
A notebook usually runs code through a kernel, such as a Python environment. The notebook file (.ipynb) stores the code, outputs, explanations, and metadata together, so it can serve as both a working environment and a reproducible report
