Super Types
TheBrain supports multiple levels of types for advanced modeling. Just like a thought can have a type, each type may in turn have a super type. To set a super type, open a thought type that should have the super type, then click the Type button. The new type will be a parent (or super) type of the active type. The attributes assigned to a super type are inherited by its sub types and instances.
Super types can be used when there is a category of thoughts which is a subset of a larger category. For example, the thought type “Person” could be the super type of the type “Executive.”
To see how to find groups of thoughts that share one or more of the same Type, please see the Producing Reports section.
Class AAA (Triple-A) would be the Super Type
