Consistent trouble with Failed to Attach URL's

Yes—many of those failures are not real problems. Most returned:

URL is already attached to this thought

That means the source attachment already exists, so TheBrain correctly prevented a duplicate. This happened for players such as Reggie Jackson, Jim Kaat, Fred Lynn, Hal McRae, Thurman Munson, Graig Nettles, Jorge Orta, Jim Palmer, Nolan Ryan, Gene Tenace, Claudell Washington, and Carl Yastrzemski.

A few source URLs were newly attached earlier; subsequent attempts then correctly reported duplicates.

Going forward

I’ll stop trying to attach URLs blindly. Before attaching a source URL, I’ll first inspect the player’s existing attachments and only add it if it is missing. This should eliminate the repeated “already attached” failures and distinguish genuine attachment errors from harmless duplicate prevention.
