how TheBrain application natively works
In TheBrain, your pieces of information are called "Thoughts." When a thought is activated in the center of the screen (the "Plex"), it displays three small circular anchors called "gates" used to visually connect it to other data:
- Top Gate: Connects to Parent thoughts (broader topics).
- Bottom Gate: Connects to Child thoughts (subtopics).
- Side Gate: Connects to Jump thoughts (related items that aren't strictly hierarchical).
What are "Pinned" and "Historical" Thoughts?
- Pinned Thoughts (Pins): These are your shortcuts. They sit permanently at the top of the application window so you can quickly jump to your most-used thoughts without searching for them.
- Historical Thoughts (History): This is a breadcrumb trail that sits at the bottom
or topof your screen, showing the thoughts you have recently clicked on so you can back-track your workflow.
