Brain Tab Bar Overhaul
- The tab bar now handles many open brains gracefully.
- Tabs shrink to make room as more open; past that, the tab strip scrolls — use the mouse wheel or the new scroll buttons at either end
- A new overflow menu lists every open tab so you can jump straight to any of them
- The active tab is automatically scrolled into view
Find in PDF
- Search inside PDF previews and step through matches with the new find toolbar
- Press Ctrl/Cmd+F to open the find toolbar or click the magnifying glass icon in the PDF preview toolbar
- When a general search is performed and a PDF attachment match is selected, the PDF preview now shows the first match
Improved inter-brain paste handling
- When a set of thoughts is pasted into a different brain multiple times, any pre-existing items are now shown in a list of conflicting thoughts, types, tags, and links. This lets you choose how to handle each one: Replace the existing item, paste as a new Copy, or Skip it.
For advanced users: give a brain a new unique identifier so it is treated as a separate brain for synchronization — for example, to keep a local copy that no longer syncs with the original.
Hold Option/Shift while right-clicking a brain in the brains list to reveal the command.
- Cerebro's list of available AI models can now be updated without an app update
- Added an underline button to the note editor toolbar
- Sync now reports more detailed progress, including per-step status while waiting for the cloud merge
- Rename Brain and Set/Remove Brain Icon are now available in the Brain menu
- The BrainBox panel opens faster
- Text in the notes footer's links and mentions sections can now be selected and copied
- Mentions of the current thought stand out more in the notes footer, and text that is already a link is no longer marked as a mention
- Fixed: Dropping multiple files onto the plex linked each file under the previous one instead of the drop target
- Fixed: Images pasted into notes from another brain or thought were not copied into the brain
- Fixed: The pinned and past-thoughts bars could steal focus from the search box
- Fixed: The plex could leave new columns empty after changing the column width
- Fixed: The Undo and Redo toolbar buttons didn't always reflect whether undo or redo was available
- Fixed: The cursor jumped when clicking a link's tooltip menu in the notes editor
- Fixed: The notes editor could lose focus, the caret position, or just-typed text when a note reloaded in the background
- Fixed: Opening a menu item's submenu didn't close when hovering a neighboring item
- DESKTOP Fixed: Printing or PDF export failing for very large notes
- DESKTOP Fixed: Attaching a file could occasionally create a duplicate attachment
