One of the biggest mandate around multi-tenant architecture and pure SaaS/PaaS framework for anything from Salesforce.com is the SFDC Test Class and Methods execution procedure.

More of a necessary evil, this does eat into our effort and cost as well as being a sanity checkmark for production deployment – and is closely monitored and evaluated by SFDC. Lately this has also been one of the areas of review by SFDC PS and ES as well.

From a statistical point of view – this particular activity has been observed to consume 6-35% of our total CUT effort based on the level of customization used in our projects.

In light of this it gives us great pleasure to introduce

A true engineering solution based on the latest API group from SFDC called “Tooling API”

Built as an executable JAR file – this would reduce roughly 50% of our effort around writing Test Class and Methods and associated dependency, allowing us an significant sliver of advantage both in effort as well as pricing in our execution model resulting in a more competitive pricing for our clients.

VSL’s, request you to factor in the reduction in effort and cost in all proposals with minor to major customization in the future, also on identification of pilot projects for us to run this on a priority.
