Michael Jantzi

Michael Jantzi is the founder and former CEO of Sustainalytics. He founded Jantzi Research and has been active in the responsible investment field since 1990. Following Morningstar’s 2020 acquisition of Sustainalytics, Michael took on the role of Managing Director, ESG Strategy, where he focused on broadening the adoption of sustainable investing across multiple asset classes and investor segments and also created a culture of corporate responsibility at Morningstar.

In June 2022, Michael completed his time with Sustainalytics when he was appointed as a full-time member of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). Michael continues to be a recognized thought leader on sustainability, responsible investing and corporate social responsibility issues. Michael regularly appears in the global media and as a conference speaker.
