Plimpton 322 is a famous mathematical tablet with 15 rows of Pythagorean triples. In this video we look at Old Babylonian geometry and explain why Plimpton 322 is actually a trigonometric table, but based on an older form of trigonometry which is not angle based. This explanation is the work of Daniel Mansfield and N J Wildberger, published in Historia Mathematicae in 2017.
