c. Non-judgmentalism doesn't work for narrative

Nonjudgmentalism is inherent in inclusiveness, but it has further dimensions, such as the soccer trophy syndrome of wanting there to be no winners and losers in life.

The problem is, it doesn’t work within the dynamics of narrative. Look at the three forces of narrative.

First there is agreement, which is positivity—everyone’s a winner! Then there is contradiction—sad face, everything is not in agreement, and there’s probably even someone losing. Lastly there’s consequence, when we square it all away and the world moves on.

These are the three forces. They are eternal. They are what all brains seek, all day, every day.

The entire idea of non-judgmentalism means deleting contradiction—the central, most powerful element of narrative. It’s more than just maladaptive; it’s not human.
