Ancient Bristlecone Pines

<h1>Ancient Bristlecone Pines</h1>

<p>The story of how the trees were dated by Schulman and his students, how dendrochronology was developed, and how scientists have pieced back the last 10,000 years or so of environmental history from this living history library, is inspiring and amazing.</p>

<p>Visit the grove. You can be in the presence of a living entity that is older than <a class="thought-link" href="brain://z8uNNtZCMU6-Ob9obyGe-g/Jesus">Jesus</a>, older than <a href="brain://preview.webbrain.com/5IWkj_WbCkuk3zPNwDjZJQ/19Zia3uIL065neyrV3G2tA/ANewHistoryForHumanityTheHumanEra">written history</a>, older than the <a class="thought-link" href="brain://aDgC0pxHVEuZQKGfpeHAXw/OldTestament">Old Testament</a>, and older than the pyramids. And if you count some of the fallen trees, <a href="brain://preview.webbrain.com/5IWkj_WbCkuk3zPNwDjZJQ/19Zia3uIL065neyrV3G2tA/ANewHistoryForHumanityTheHumanEra">older than civilization</a>.</p>

<p>And either <a class="thought-link" href="brain://QWIt8gj0W06SI-wDtf02UA/NoahsArk">Noah's Ark</a> was local (or the flood was shallow) or it was not a world-wide flood, or it never happened, or all of the above. Because the trees are here and now and they are alive. (Also God could be deceiving us to try our faith, but He <a class="thought-link" href="brain://preview.webbrain.com/5IWkj_WbCkuk3zPNwDjZJQ/2uFsW4RLH0i5TP0x-qB8ZA/IsItMoreProbableThatNatureShouldGoOutOfHerCourseOrThatAMan">might not be the only deceiver</a> .)</p>
