What is Psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that affects around 2 in 100 people in the UK1. It causes red, scaly patches on the skin that can be itchy or painful. While there is no cure, many effective treatments are available to control symptoms and improve quality of life1.
Treatment Approach
Treatment for psoriasis follows a step-by-step approach, starting with mild treatments and progressing to stronger ones if needed2. Most patients (about 90%) can be managed with topical treatments applied to the skin3.
