Implications
The examples of this segment are intended to provide some varied specific examples to further demonstrate the conventions presented in the Basic Relationships segment. The examples are recycled from the Systems Practice course by +ACUMEN and The Omidyar Group. The course is offered free twice a year and I highly recommend it.
The Implications 101 Video presents a description of all five of the subsections presented below. The individual subsections present individual presentations and videos which are a bit more detailed than the overview.
It is understood that there are additional relationships that are likely to be relevant for each of these examples. The simplification here is specifically done in an attempt to support understanding the nature of relationships rather than an exhaustive investigation of the situation context.
You might find Brian Dowling's "Systems Thinking Iceberg" of several of these models of some interest. He's provided a structural, attitudinal, transactional map for each of the initial models. Very nicely done.
