Sin

My thought: Sin is man determining what is good and bad instead of God. The Law is an all encompassing term used to reference any given instruction from God as to what he has determined to be good or bad. In the garden of Eden, God had determined that eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad was bad. His law/instruction was eat of any tree, except this one.

Romans 5:13 sin was in the world before the law was given.
