Justification: needed and obtained

As for personal salvation and obeying the Law God gave to Israel at Mt. Sinai, remember these facts:

  1. Unless God considers you as righteous as He is, unless He justifies you, you cannot be saved. Genesis 2:17, 3:6; Romans 3:23, 5:12, 6:23; Ephesians 2:1-3.
  2. No one can obtain this justification by trying to obey the Law. Galatians 2:16, 3:10-11
  3. Justification is available only as a free gift, gained by believing by God-given faith (Rm 4:9-10; Galatians 2:16; Eph 2.8) in Jesus’ deity and sacrifice in your place (Rm 10.9-10).
