MacArthur on the Temple in the Millennium

Excerpt from MacArthur’s commentary on Zechariah, The Master’s Press, copyright 2023, page XVII:

“In the future kingdom, Jerusalem will also be the location of the millennial temple (c.f. Ezek 40-48) to which God’s glory will return and in which the Lord Himself will dwell with His redeemed people (Zech 1:16, 2:5). That eschatological temple will be the epicenter of the world, the earthly pinnacle reflecting the presence and worship of Yahweh (2:7; 14:10, 16; cf. Isa 2:2-4). God will tear down all competing houses of sinful worship (Zech 5:4) and false religion (5:11), so that His house and glory will be the only one. From that future temple, the Messiah will reign (6:12-13).”
