MacArthur on OT Messianic refs pointing to Jesus

About the Gospel of God promised through the OT prophets as recorded in the holy Scriptures, MacArthur wrote, “The Jew’s greatest heritage is the promise of God’s Messiah, and Jesus is that Messiah, the fulfillment of that promise. Every Jewish prophet, directly or indirectly, prophesied of the ultimate Prophet, Jesus Christ. Every Jewish sacrificial lamb spoke of the ultimate, eternal Lamb of God who would be sacrificed for the sins of the world.” John F. MacArthur Jr., [Romans, vol. 1, MacArthur New Testament Commentary (Chicago: Moody Press, 1991), 13.]

Other Scriptures which begin similarly, referring to God’s Gospel declaration throughout the OT and now revealed in Christ: Ac 10.43, Heb 1.1-2, and 1 Pet 1.10-12.
