Guilty

<p>Scripture makes it very clear that Canaanites were far from "innocent." The description of their sins in <a href="http://www.crossbooks.com/verse.asp?ref=Lev+18">Leviticus 18</a> is vivid: "The land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants" (<a href="http://www.crossbooks.com/verse.asp?ref=Lev+18%3A25">vs. 25</a>). They were cancerously immoral, "defiled" with every kind of "abomination," including child sacrifice (<a href="http://www.crossbooks.com/verse.asp?ref=Lev+18%3A21">vss. 21</a>, <a href="http://www.crossbooks.com/verse.asp?ref=Lev+18%3A24">24</a>, <a href="http://www.crossbooks.com/verse.asp?ref=Lev+18%3A26">26</a>).Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics.</p>
