God’s judgment of sin impacts innocent creatures

A few examples of the principle:

• Gen 3.21 God killed one or more animals to use their hides to clothe Adam and Eve.
• Gen 4.4 A killed animal from a flock was a required sacrifice.
• Gen 7.21-22 Except for the few creatures in the ark, all other air-breathing creatures perished in the flood.
• Gen 9.3: After the flood creatures became a food source for man and for certain other creatures.
• Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy: all the sacrifices and many of the offerings mandated by the Law were slain creatures.
• Jer 14.5-6 The drought God sent to punish Judah affected the creatures as well.
• Rm 8.22 The whole creation groans and suffers under the curse placed on it by Adam’s sin.
