Justification - teaching questions
Excerpt from John MacArthur's commentary on John 16:10, "Those who heed the Spirit's testimony about their utter sinfulness and Christ's perfect righteousness and respond to the gospel in genuine faith, are instantly clothed with His righteousness. Their sins are placed fully on Him and, in His death at the hands of God's holy justice, He paid the penalty in full (Phil. 3:9; cf. Rom. 3:21-22; 4:5, 13; 5:21; 10:10; 1 Cor. 1:30; 2 Cor. 5:21). God justifies sinners when He accounts their sins to have been paid for by Christ's death and Christ's righteousness is credited to them by His grace alone."
