Notes on implications of Christ’s resurrecton
Notes:
- Jesus’ previous body was not used
- It apparently reverted to its fundamental elements in vapor form (because the grave cloths collapsed)
- Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom, 1 Cor 15.50
- Jesus appeared in His eternal, glorified body
- It looked like His previous body, same scars, recognizable visage, etc.
- It could do things His previous body could do
- Be material (cast a shadow, leave footprints, handle things, etc.)
- Be visible
- Eat, speak, walk, touch, be touched, etc.
- It was able to do things Jesus’ previous body could not do
- Teleport, appear-disappear
- Defy gravity, seen at His ascention (though in His old body He walked on water...)
- Exist in Heaven as well as on earth
