In this conversation Norman Solomon and I discuss his new book, "The Blue Road to Trump Hell: How Corporate Democrats Paved the Way for Autocracy." Norman is the Co-Founder of Roots Action and the Executive Director of the Institute for Public Accuracy. This conversation explores the book’s basic themes: the Democratic Party’s repeated failures—from Hillary Clinton to Biden to Harris—and how neoliberal leadership, corporate dependence, and contempt for the working class paved the way for Donald Trump’s victories and the rise of an increasingly fascistic politics.
