been a few days since the building collapse in Surfside, Fla. and there are already conspiracy theories floating around. As local authorities continue their search for approximately 159 missing individuals, conservative commentators like Charlie Kirk are already raising speculation about the disaster being an act of "domestic terrorism," reports Mediaite.

On Friday, June 25, Kirk tweeted about his alleged conversations with multiple architects who have raised speculation about the collapse.

"I have spoken to several architects who believe that the building collapse in Surfside was not an act of nature. Many are saying this was 'domestic terrorism,'" he wrote.

Following the building collapse, The New York Times reported:

"The building had been about to undergo extensive repairs for rusted steel and damaged concrete,Kenneth S. Direktor, a lawyer involved in the project, said on Thursday. The repairs had been scheduled as part of a review and recertification process for 40-year-old buildings."

"I have a feeling that something else is going to be discovered that happened that we can't assume right off the bat," Peter Zalewski, principal of Condo Vultures — a South Florida real estate market analysis company, also said of the collapse. "Forty-year-old buildings don't just collapse, and there's a whole series of them lining up and down the coast."

Despite Kirk's bizarre claims and the words from the architects he claims to have spoken with, no officials have said anything to suggest the building collapse was a result of terrorism.

Even Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) admitted that the collapse is still being evaluated as authorities ""don't want to get [it] wrong."

"We don't want to get [it] wrong, obviously, but at the same time I do think it's important that it's timely because you have a lot of families here, you have families that lost loved ones in this going collapse," the Republican governor said on Friday. "You have other folks who were able to get out safely, but then lost their homes."

June 25, 2025, edition of Newsmax's Rob Schmitt Tonight

ROB SCHMITT (HOST): The Big Beautiful Bill, there's a word that potentially by Friday this thing could get through. It has $150 billion for the deportation agenda. I know that's money that you desperately need to get this job done. You got a lot on your shoulders here. Money to finish the wall. More ICE and border agents.

The parliamentarian, though, who's been around since Harry Reid put her in place like 13 years ago, is striking down a lot of parts of this bill that deal with immigration. Some say that she's a partisan actor. The ability to defund sanctuary cities, she's taking that out. Where are you at with that? What's your perspective on that? And are you still going to get enough to do your job as you see it now?

TOM HOMAN (GUEST): Well, she ought to pay attention to current affairs. We got — what Biden did in four years is the biggest national security vulnerability this country ever has. We got over 20 million illegal aliens in this country. We got over 2 million known gotaways that escaped, didn't want to be vetted, didn't want to be fingerprinted, didn't want to give away program, a free flight, free hotel, three meals a day and free medical care. That should scare the hell out of everybody. This should be a nonpartisan issue. We got 20 million illegal aliens. We got 2 million gotaways. We got less than 5,000 deportation officers. There are concentrating on the worst of the worst. Fund us. We need more agents. We need more beds. We need more transportation contracts. We need more targeting. This is a national security issue. Everybody should be on the same side on this.

SCHMITT: I got 10 seconds left. That bill gets through, about how long are we looking at until we have what would be considered a completed wall system for the areas that need it at the southern border? Is there an estimation?

HOMAN: I don't have an estimation. The quicker we get the money, the quicker we can get going. So the more money we get, the more we can do. But I can tell you, the border wall is a big part of this administration's efforts. That would be a priority.

Donald Trump falsely told a crowd of North Carolina supporters on Wednesday that President Joe Biden had sent Vice President Kamala Harris to meet with Vladimir Putin to prevent him from invading Ukraine in 2022, days before the Russian President ordered his forces to attack the sovereign nation.

“Remember when Biden sent Kamala to Europe to stop the war in Ukraine?” Trump said at a rally in Asheboro, continuing to pronounce the Vice President’s name wrong, “She met with Putin, and then three days later, he attacked. How did she do, do you think she did a good job? She met with Putin to tell him, ‘don’t do it.’ And three days later he attacked. That’s when the attack started.”

Trump repeated and embellished the same lie Thursday morning, telling Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” hosts in a call-in audio-only interview, “Biden sent, I called her ‘Comrade Kamala.’ Sent Comrade Kamala to see Putin in Russia three days before the attack. She went. She said she gave her case. He attacked three days later. He attacked. Three days later, he laughed at her. He thought she was a joke.”

Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade, a staunch Trump supporter, told viewers, “Yeah. And just as a quick clarification, we don’t have confirmation that the Vice President went to Russia to meet with Vladimir Putin. I know she went over to Europe right before the incursion, when Russia invaded Ukraine, and it’s a war that’s still going on right now.”

But Fox News’ Ainsley Airhardt told Kilmeade, “I’ve heard that said a lot. You don’t have confirmation that that’s true?”

“I don’t know if the vice president ever met Vladimir Putin,” Kilmeade remarked on a story that had already been debunked.

Earlier in their interview, Airhardt told Trump that Democrats at this week’s Democratic National Convention are “spreading so many different lies.”

CNN Wednesday evening reported: “Trump’s claim is false. Harris has never met with Putin. In reality, she met with US allies, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, at the Munich Security Conference in the days before Russia’s February 2022 invasion of Ukraine. Putin was not at the conference.”

The network’s fact-checker, Daniel Dale, added a quote from a Kremlin spokesperson: “Frankly speaking, I cannot recall a single contact between President Putin and Mrs. Harris.”

fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy falsely claims there were Chinese bioweapons labs found in California

In reality, as The Associated Press reported at the time, “The charges deal with federal health regulations, nothing related to online conspiracy theories about China purportedly trying to engineer biological weapons in rural America”

:{:{PUBLISHED 06/05/24}:

During a June 5 diatribe about the dangers of Chinese influence within our hemisphere, Fox News host Rachel Campos-Duffy wrongly asserted that “bioweapons labs [were] found in California.” The host was seemingly referring to debunked conspiracy theories that had circulated the previous fall.

In 2023, an investigation by the Food and Drug Administration found an unauthorized lab in Fresno, California, which was owned by Jia Bei Zhu. Zhu was arrested on “charges of not obtaining the proper permits to manufacture tests for COVID-19, pregnancy and HIV.”

Discovery of the lab had fueled conspiracy theories about bioweapons, but as The Associated Press reported at the time, “The charges deal with federal health regulations, nothing related to online conspiracy theories about China purportedly trying to engineer biological weapons in rural America.” Additionally, according to the article, “The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said there was no sign that the lab was illegally in possession of the materials or had select agents or toxins that could be used as bioweapons.”

Yet during a morning rant about the supposed dangers permeating American borders, Campos-Duffy seemingly referred to the lab while fearmongering about “the Chinese exerting influence all over our hemisphere.” She went on to allege that “some people [are] saying the election in Mexico, the Chinese were very much involved in that election.”

RACHEL CAMPOS-DUFFY (CO-HOST): What's happening in our own hemisphere, you have Mexico turning into a narco-state but, more importantly, you have the Chinese exerting influence all over our hemisphere: flying, you know, spy balloons over our country, buying up farmland, setting up secret police, bioweapons labs found in California, and then buying up all kinds of, you know, mines and infrastructure and ports all over Latin America. This is unheard of in our own backyard. This is a massive problem. Many people are saying it's actually the biggest problem. And some people saying the election in Mexico, the Chinese were very much involved in that election. And we had 34 candidates who were killed in this campaign season in Mexico. Mexico is a very hot spot right now.
