“No Kings” rallies highlight how right-wing provocateurs generate content for right-wing media

Right-wing criticism of No Kings protests are being fueled by videos from TPUSA Frontlines, FreedomNews, Nate Friedman, Julio Rosas, and others

Written by Gideon Taaffe & Jack Winstanley

:{Published 04/08/26

Right-wing media have been using video content from right-wing content creators, many of whom describe themselves as “independent journalists,” to attack the March 28 “No Kings” rallies, claiming protesters had “idiotic things to say,” calling protesters “quite terrible” people, and accusing them of engaging in “terrorism.”

This is just the latest example of the feedback loop between right-wing media and a variety of online influencers and content creators who have emerged to create and distribute content that spreads right-wing narratives on social media. These creators, some of whom have affiliations with right-wing outlets and organizations like FreedomNews and Turning Point USA’s Frontlines, have become part of the right-wing media ecosystem, as right-wing media figures have come to rely on them for on-the-ground footage and evidence in support of longstanding right-wing talking points.

These content creators and so-called “independent journalists” descended on the March 28 No Kings rallies in several U.S. cities — including New York City, Nashville, Las Vegas, Dallas, and Los Angeles — for content, using their videos to push the longstanding right-wing narrative that anti-Trump protesters are violent or paid.

While 74 arrests were reported in relation to protests in Los Angeles, the No Kings rallies drew out an estimated 8 million people across the United States. Despite the overwhelming number of protesters engaging peacefully, right-wing content creators highlighted confrontations between protesters and police.

Another video claimed that Turning Point Action volunteers had been heckled and that “cops just stepped in to scold a leftist protester after she used her pom pom to hit a woman singing Christian praise music.” On Instagram, TPUSA and one of its creators, Bronson Alford, posted a video from New York City that claimed a No Kings attendee “can’t define ‘conservative.’” Instagram, [3/28/26, 3/28/26, 3/28/26, 3/28/26, 3/30/26, accessed 4/6/26; Axios, 10/30/25; TPUSA Frontlines, accessed 4/6/26]}:

HUH?

Speaker 1 (09:44):

Maybe a little bit of poison in the water supply,

maybe bring in somebody with the plague, intentionally weakening the

city from within. So when the Mongolian hordes showed up

out of the gates, the city wasn't near as strong

and ready as they could have been. That's exactly what

(10:05):

China has been doing and is currently doing to the

United States of America. They are importing fentanyl. They're trafficking

it to the cartels.

Speaker 3 (10:13):

Well, what you.

Speaker 1 (10:14):

Need to make fentanyl. They're giving it to the cartels

on purpose. This is something the Chinese Communist Party is

obviously aware of, and it's something they want to happen.

We now have one hundred thousand Americans a year dying

of overdose. That's done intentionally. That's China weakening us. We

now have a second story over the course of the

last couple weeks of a Chinese person smuggling in pathogens,

(10:37):

deadly pathogens to put it inside of our food supply.

Speaker 3 (10:40):

They'll be interested in our water supply.

Speaker 1 (10:43):

Now. The problem is for norm and norma for average

everyday American.

Speaker 3 (10:48):

You don't even know how to deal with these things.

Speaker 1 (10:50):

These things are random headlines you see on your phone

and then you set them down. But what we do

have to know is we are at war with China.

That is not your call. It's not my call. We

don't get a say when it comes to wars. Only

one side gets a say. China has declared war on us.

They intend to supplant us as the number one country

(11:13):

on the planet, and they are fighting that war not

with bombs and bullets and submarines. They are fighting that

war in a variety of different ways. They're all over

the internet. Did you know that turning one American against another?

They spend time and money doing this. Now, it's not

like you need to do something. You don't need to

(11:33):

run down to the local Chinese restaurant start screaming at

the cook. But we do have to acknowledge as a country,

as a people, that we are already in a cold

war with China. And it's even more complicated because our

economies depend on each other. China needs uspying goods, we

need China making goods. Big, old, ugly situation, but it's

(11:54):

the one we have. All right, Let's go talk to

Julio Rosas about la and deported. Before we talk to Julio,

I want to talk to you about testosterone. There is

another thing that is destroying this country from within. Chinese

divisions are not we don't have testosterone. We have lost

(12:17):

half of our testosterone in just fifty years.

Speaker 3 (12:21):

Do the math on that? What's that look like?

Speaker 1 (12:23):

In another fifty We're not even gonna have babies.

Speaker 3 (12:25):

We won't have enough men to fight a war.

Speaker 1 (12:27):

When a war comes, will be just a big, effeminate

society of losers, a whole country full of James Langford's.

Speaker 3 (12:33):

Is that what you want? Do you want to be

James Langford? Do you want to sound like Lindsey Graham?

Speaker 1 (12:38):

Get a male vitality stack from chalk flowing through your veins, gentlemen,

natural herbal supplements having you feeling like a million bucks.

Speaker 3 (12:48):

Every single day, full of energy.

Speaker 1 (12:50):

Ready to go chalk dot com, slash JESSETV.

Speaker 3 (12:56):

We'll be back.

Speaker 8 (13:05):

You know you've heard reports that there are riots on

the streets of Los Angeles. That is not what's happening

across the city of Los Angeles.

Speaker 5 (13:11):

Coven Houston's right there, was anything like a riot happening

on Friday Saturday, and.

Speaker 7 (13:14):

We just witnessed protester thanking a National guardsman for his

service here in California.

....Speaker 8 (13:05):

You know you've heard reports that there are riots on

the streets of Los Angeles. That is not what's happening

across the city of Los Angeles.

Speaker 5 (13:11):

Coven Houston's right there, was anything like a riot happening

on Friday Saturday, and.

Speaker 7 (13:14):

We just witnessed protester thanking a National guardsman for his

service here in California.

Speaker 1 (13:21):

Lapd By most estimates, had this under control last night.

Speaker 9 (13:26):

No, I don't think the National Guard is needed now.

Speaker 6 (13:29):

Things in La are calm.

Speaker 9 (13:30):

There was a protest that got a little unruly late

at night.

Speaker 1 (13:34):

There have been no violence where anybody that was protesting

hit anybody, shot anybody, anybody.

Speaker 7 (13:43):

Nothing.

Speaker 5 (13:44):

What is just a bunch of people having fun watching

cars burn.

Speaker 7 (13:48):

Most of those demonstrators were very peaceful.

Speaker 3 (13:53):

It's peaceful.

Speaker 1 (13:54):

They're having fun watching cars burn. Let's find out how

true all that stuff is. Joining me now, National Blaze correspondent,

United States Marine and possibly in ice custody. Julio Rojas, Julio,

what's going on in La Are you free right now?

Speaker 10 (14:12):

That's a good one, Deessie.

Speaker 11 (14:13):

I'll give you that one. Yeah. I am.

Speaker 10 (14:16):

I am in Los Angeles, and I have been so

busy with the riots that have been happening. I did

not even realize that that Tom Elliott put that super

cut together, and I was unaware of just how how

much lying is happening right now.

Speaker 3 (14:36):

Between between everybody.

Speaker 10 (14:38):

It's it's it's really ridiculous that despite being lambasted and

just mocks relentlessly five years ago when they pulled that

same mostly peaceful, uh you know, talking point, they're still

doing They're doing it again, and it just shows that

they learned absolutely nothing. And and for me, that's kind

of okay because it gives me job security because most

(14:59):

of Americans will tune out those people and tune into,

you know, people like me or any of my other

friends who are here in Los Angeles covering the riots,

because I mean, yes, there are protests, but they devolved

into riots like what happened yesterday again, So I don't

know what to expect today. We are expecting crowds to

kind of gather back outside the Federal building in downtown

(15:22):

Los Angeles.

Speaker 11 (15:23):

But.

Speaker 3 (15:25):

They're all lying.

Speaker 11 (15:26):

I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 10 (15:27):

I don't know what else to say other than just

just the obvious fact.

Speaker 3 (15:29):

And all you do is just look at the videos.

Speaker 11 (15:33):

Julio.

Speaker 1 (15:34):

This is obviously not your first rodeo when it comes

to dealing with the street animals. So can you give

us a sense because we're not on the ground, all

we have our internet videos and Twitter and what the

news is lying about. Obviously, LA is a very spread

out place. Anyone who's ever been there and knows that

is it certain parts of town? Does it feel like

it's escalating or dying off? You have a much better

(15:57):

feel for this stuff than those of us who aren't

there and don't have you experience that.

Speaker 10 (16:02):

Yeah, it's been centered at the city Hall and the

Federal building uh in in the downtown area by the

one oh one. But last night they they couldn't get

close to they got pushed away by l a p

D after after throwing glass bottles at police. And so

what typically happens, and this is exactly what happened last night,

(16:24):

is you know, writers have a primary target. If they

can't get to their primary target, or they get pushed

away from their primary target, they're still amped up and

they say, well, we're just going to go out and

cause all sorts of mayhem. And so that's what we

saw last night. A couple of blocks away that hadn't

really seen any action in the past few days, we're

now seeing looting at all these different stores. I mean,

(16:46):

the sushi place got looted, Apple a weed store. I

don't I don't. I would hazard I guess that the

local library or bookstore. I think I think those right now.

But yeah, it's it is starting to spread. And that's

kind of unusual. And I say that because usually the timeline,

(17:06):

at least what was happening in twenty twenty was the

worst parts of the riots were were the first three days,

give or take. We're now in day five and we're

just now getting to the just looting random stores stage

because they have the ability to do that, because there's

still not enough resources or personnel needed. Because yeah, you're right,

(17:29):

and this is what I've been telling people is that

even if they can get the downtown area is secured,

Los Angeles and Los Angeles County is huge, and you

know so many people that are very sympathetic to the rioters,

and so you can lock down downtown, but who's to

say won't happen in Santa Monica or you know, Inglewood

or Compton or Koreatown or you know, Burbank or something. Right, So,

(17:52):

I think it's good that President Trump is deploying more

military personnel, but I think it's going to require even

more the fully plant down on the violence. Obviously, people

can still protest, but we're still in the violence stage.

And that's significant because it usually doesn't have enough steam.

Speaker 11 (18:11):

For this Loan.

Speaker 1 (18:14):

Julio, Who is doing what? When it comes to law enforcement?

I mean this in the La LA PD, Obviously they're

going to be involved. We know we have National Guard.

What are they actually doing? Seven hundred marines are coming.

These are infantry marines. So are they planning on putting

these infantry marines in close.

Speaker 3 (18:35):

Contact with these guys?

Speaker 1 (18:36):

Because I have a pretty good idea on how that's

going to go.

Speaker 3 (18:39):

Who is doing what?

Speaker 10 (18:41):

So my understanding is that is that because the active

the yeah, the active duty and the Federalized National Guard,

because they're not being activated under the Insurrection Act, but

instead of different authority they are, they are more limited

in what they're able to do. And so basically the

military personnel are going to be used to protect the

(19:01):

federal UH building, the main one right next to the

City of Hall, because that has been kind of the

epicenter of everything.

Speaker 11 (19:09):

Bye.

Speaker 10 (19:09):

By doing that, that frees up the federal law enforcement

agencies like ICE, like HSI or the Federal Protective Service,

who up until this point have been also helping with

securing in the perimeter because they have to keep in

mind they're still planning on doing onst operations here. With

everything that's going on, I mean, they're still they're having

(19:29):

to uh, they're they're having to contend with what's happening

in the streets with carrying out President Trump's orders. So

by by freeing up ICE agents or HSI agents from

guard duty and they can actually go into enforcement once again,

so that it kind of takes take care, take cares

(19:50):

of two problems at once.

Speaker 11 (19:53):

So I don't know what we'll.

Speaker 10 (19:54):

We'll see where exactly, uh will they will be placed,

and we'll see if if that if the additional personnel

will kind of mellow things out.

Speaker 11 (20:06):

But I mean just.

Speaker 10 (20:08):

Yesterday when when the protesters heard that Okay, it is official,

the Marines are coming, the speaker was saying, oh, are

we going to be afraid of the Marines, and everyone

in the crowd is like no, And so yeah, I

don't know. I think I think because it's President Trump

activating them, it is going to agitate them more. So

(20:30):

we'll we'll see what happens today in the coming days.

Speaker 1 (20:35):

Yeah, I've been in that exact situation before in the

Joff Iraq. It's amazing, amazing how pacified they get when

you fix bayonets. Julio, thank you, my brother. As always,

I appreciate you. Not afraid of the Marines. We'll see

how that works, all right, guys, let me know now.

(20:57):

I know I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight.

Reasons One, the Marines are coming.

Speaker 3 (21:02):

Two. I have Beam.

Speaker 1 (21:04):

I have dream powder from Beam. There are a lot

of things out there you can take to go to sleep,

lots of them. You sell them in a gas station.

Your doctor will writes your prescription. But I know, I

know how many are natural. That's why you wake up

all groggy and miserable. You know that because you're not

taking natural things. I'll take this pill or drink this

(21:26):

and then you wake up in your eyes, have clothes.

Speaker 3 (21:28):

You want to die.

Speaker 1 (21:30):

With dream powder, you sleep like a baby, and you

wake up energized like you didn't take anything because it's

natural melatonin and rachi and all these other things.

Speaker 3 (21:39):

It's a cup of hot chocolate. Have a cup of

hot chocolate before bed and sleep like a baby.

Speaker 1 (21:44):

You want to save a bunch of money, Shopbeam dot com,

slash Jesse Kelly, We'll be back Okay, so I know

everybody he's talking about Los Angeles. We've been talking about

Los Angeles. But we do have to focus on some

(22:07):

other things going on. For instance, the what's their what

are they calling it the Big Beautiful Bill, which is

still not at an actual bill yet, Rumor has it

it's really stuck in the Senate and they are deeply divided.

Speaker 3 (22:21):

So what's going on?

Speaker 1 (22:24):

Let's ask Wade joining me now, the United States Marine

Corps veteran Wade Miller, also senior advisor for Center for

Renewing America. Okay, Wade, the Big Beautiful Bill?

Speaker 3 (22:35):

What's to hold up? What's the Washington d C? Give

it to us?

Speaker 12 (22:39):

Well, on the conservative side, you have members you want

deeper cuts on some of the mandatory spinning programs, more

savings on things like Medicaid. There's additional things we can

do to save a lot of money.

Speaker 11 (22:50):

There. On the moderate side, some of.

Speaker 12 (22:52):

Them think that these cuts go too deep and they

don't want to cut as much money, and I just

I don't understand that logic.

Julio Rojas from Blaze TV ran into former DHS Sec. Mayorkas at the airport. I asked him how he feels now that the US has a secure border under President Trump.
