He knew theology, politics, culture, and people - and shaped his young country through abolition activism, cultural and artistic support, elected office, legal rulings, and executive leadership. But he didn’t do it all alone. Together with a network of like-minded contemporaries, he built a collection of colonies into a nation.</font></p><p style="overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); hyphens: none !important;"><font size="4" face="Times New Roman">Our hope is for our alumni to emulate Jay. After a decade of training leaders, we have produced over 600 alumni and counting. Each of them has studied the best and most influential ideas of Western civilization, built strong friendships among the rising leadership of America, been grounded in the historic Christian faith, and committed him or herself to a life in the service of others. </font></div><div><p class="" style="overflow-wrap: break-word; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); white-space: pre-wrap; hyphens: none !important;"><font size="4" face="Times New Roman">To help those outside of the John Jay fellowship programs understand what the John Jay Institute is all about and what it is like to be a part of this community - both as a current Fellow and as a part of the alumni network - we have developed a series of essays called <em style="overflow-wrap: break-word;">Together</em>.</font></p><p class="" style="overflow-wrap: break-word; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); white-space: pre-wrap; hyphens: none !important;"><font size="4" face="Times New Roman">The first series, <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word;">Life Together</span>, highlighted the five key aspects of the John Jay Fellowship programs: Living in Christian Community, Daily Prayer, Academics, Hospitality, and Field Studies.</font></p><p class="" style="overflow-wrap: break-word; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); white-space: pre-wrap; hyphens: none !important;"><font size="4" face="Times New Roman">The second series, <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word;">Learning Together</span>, highlighted the five academic modules covered in the programs.</font></p><p class="" style="overflow-wrap: break-word; margin-bottom: 0px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); white-space: pre-wrap; hyphens: none !important;"><font size="4" face="Times New Roman">The third series, <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word;">Leading Together</span>, will highlight five alumni from the John Jay, Saratoga, and Witherspoon fellowship programs, each one working in a different arena, including the church, public policy, education, government, and the military.</font></p></div><div><font size="4" face="Times New Roman">
