Decision not to Proceed

After discussing the available anti-amyloid treatment options, the clinician or patient may decide not to proceed with ApoE genotyping, or any further steps that may explore the anti-amyloid treatment option. Reasons for such a decision may range from expense, to concern over adverse events. Whatever the reason, individuals are excluded from treatment with anti-amyloid therapy. Follow-up Cognitive Screening is a good option for such patients, especially those who may be ambivalent about treatment.
