Old Highway

Highway 71, also just called the Old Highway, was the original road from Santa Reyes to San Lorren. After a series of devastating landslides and earthquakes, the decision was made to abandon the old highway and dig a tunnel. The old highway still exists, and is enjoyed as a slow, scenic drive. It connects to Ridgeline Parkway, the main road running down the San Fracesco Peninsula and through the Costa Real Mountains.
