Polynesian Confederation

Formed in late 1800's under the direction of the King of Hawaii, who successfully helped other Polynesian nations play the imperial powers off of each other. The confederation was formed between the sovereign island kingdoms of Hawaii, Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga, and their outlying island territories. They are declared a pacifist nation, and instead work as international traders, capitalize on very lucrative tourist and luxury agriculture industry, and in recent decades have begun becoming strong banking centers.

The conferation maintains each kingdom is an independent constituent state within their own bounds, thus respecting their local governments. For national issues, a general assembly of elected representatives from all islands and chiefdoms initiates legislation, and then the chiefs and royals, meeting in council, debate and decide to either enact, ammend, or reject the law.

Members of indigenous Maori from New Zealand, and other island nations around the pacific usually are present as observers, and to participate in cultural exchanges.
