"Mixed Reality" is a euphemism for "Augmented Reality" which already was somewhat of a sugar-coated way to describe that phenomenon but "Mixed Reality" implies that the reality you are mixing into this one holds equal weight.

One would only miss the richness and complexity and one's current reality if one was arrogant and broken inside. The eye needs to be free of defects in the lens or the retina in order to see the world properly.

In other words, the eye can't be aware of itself if it is to function optimally.

optimal... optical...

Obviously you wouldn't want a baseball or something to hit your eye, so that doesn't mean never be aware of the eye, but in general, the eye focusing on itself is only meant to fortify it's future ability to focus on the environment around itself.

It is consciousness that connects this past, present and future self. If you are broken inside and arrogant, then your ego will get in the way of you appreciating the world around you because you simply can't see the world around you. When there is a lack of self-love and self-respect, this lays the foundations for one to not be able to tell the difference between true intelligence and artificial intelligence. Microsoft is getting rappers to glorify artificial intelligence.
