TO GET THE UNIVERSAL YEAR NUMER:

ADD ALL THE NUMBERS OF THE YEAR TOGETHER then reduce...

for example:

The 2017 Universal Year Number is 2+0+1+7 = 10
and you can reduce 10 further:

10 is 1+0 = 1

Therefore 2017 is Universal Year 1
