I once had a Pisces friend once who often replied to my “how are you” by saying “well, you know, up and down”.

Pisces are water signs.
Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) are often moody and haves fluctuating moods the way water fluctuates and bounces around.
On the positive side, when their intuition is proper they can be refreshing like water since you don’t have to “spell everything out” for them.
On the negative side, Cancer are often babies ruled by the Moon which changes signs every 2 or 3 days. Scorpio holds onto grudges for like 500 years. Pisces is victim-complex, escapist and too sensitive.
