Clock Tower

The Clock Tower juts up from one of the main Carriage Houses on the central square, and towers over the plaza. Originally built by a weathly merchant who lived there, it was famous for its face made of decorative stained glass panels. In its day, it was seen as rather garish, but over time became a well known and admired landmark in the city. Heavily damaged during the war, it was the Glasswright Guild who sponsored its repair, using their skills to restore the decorative, luminous glass facade. It is now seen somewhat as a symbol of the resilliance of Afyon.
