Architecture
Au'Kael architecture is confined mostly to Afyon and the few small villages in the Foothills. In the larger cities of the Littoral and elsewhere, they embelish existing buildings with artistic touches from their cultures.
Their architecture is defined by closely-fitting small stones of various shapes, sizes and compositions, joined with mortar. This gives most buildings in this style a distinctive earth-tone mosaic look. The largest pieces of stone or wood that frame houses or other buildings are door lintels and foundations. The rooves tend to be made of slate tiles, quarried from the Foothills. In more modern times, bricks have also become a popular building material, especially to embelish features or to do repair work.
