Rosk

A type of twice-baked bread or biscuit that is used most often by traveling bands, since fresh bread does not keep for long. It is most often baked in towns or at homesteads and sold as trade goods to traveling bands.

It is seldom eaten on its own, but used more as an ingredient, most commonly crushed and used as a thickener. In more recent times, thinner, wafer-like versions have begun to be widely sold as crackers.
