August Belmont

August Belmont was the Rothschild Representative in America. Upon his death, August Belmont & Co. was transferred to his son, August Belmont. With the help of the Rothschilds, Belmont founded the Interborogh Rapid Transit Company in 1902 to help finance the construction of and operate the first underground subway line in New York City.
