Underdamped

Underdamped: An underdamped system is one where there is some damping present, but it is not strong enough to prevent oscillations. The damping factor is less than the critical value required to eliminate oscillations. The system exhibits oscillatory behavior with a gradually decaying amplitude over time. In an RLC circuit, this would correspond to a circuit with a non-zero resistance ((R > 0)).
