Amber, SP&S Depot

Spokane Portland & Seattle Railway Depot

Spokane County assessor’s office records indicate the building 1908, 1-story 32 by 40 feet.

1909-11-12: Mr. Fowler, special representative of the SP&S railway, was in the city the first of the week interviewing representative citizens in regard to moving the depot south of town to a more convenient place. He met strong encouragement from the citizens and stated that he would send a favorable report to the company. At present the depot is in a very inaccessible place and it is extremely difficult to reach it. It will be moved farther east, so that it may be easily reached from the main thoroughfare running south of town.
