New Station of Union Oil Shows Gain
Second Truck Will Be Added to New Plant
Although open just a few weeks, the new Cheney sub station of the Union Oil company is already new equipment to take care of the business. As customary with the company, the station was started with one truck which may be converted in case of necessity to a stake truck for hauling barrels. The company has found this equipment inadequate and has ordered a second truck which will be here soon.
The new sub station is located in the south end of the city on a new spur track connecting with the N.P. railroad. There are two 20,000 gallon storage tanks, one for gasoline and one for kerosene. The buildings consist of a garage, warehouse, and pumphouse. The entire line of Aristo motor oil, Motoreze, and Purepen motor oils, and all harvester oils and greases is carried.
Ted Tye, the new agent, has been in the service of the company for several years. He is now permanently located in Cheney. Conditions here look good, according to Mr. Tye. Similar confidence was expressed by C.C. Ireland, district sales manager, who said: "The erection of the distribution station at Cheney was given preference over several other points and we are very well satisfied with our selection.
