Frank Bros. Implement Co.

George P. Frank was working as a clerk for a Chicago railroad when he got the urge to go west. He and his brother, A.S. Frank, moved to San Francisco in 1875 and opened a farm implement business. A few years later, they moved to Portland and incorporated as Brank Brothers Implement Company. The Franks enjoyed considerable success, giving George time for politics. In 1894, he was elected mayor of Portland and served the customary two-year term. Frank A. Knapp was a key associate and manager during the late 1890s. He retired in 1903 to become a very successful Portland real estate broker.

In eastern Washington, Frank Brothers has agencies in Cheney and Colfax.
