Sparrow moved Ranch Thrift to 4 Marshall Rd (Cheney-Spokane) in 1977. John Gibson continued to work for Sparrow (at least through 1983.)

The name changed again in 1980 to Excell Foods.

2006 John Matejovski and Gary Morgan, new owners, renamed to Cheney Trading Company.

July 2014 Yokes Fresh Market purchase Cheney Trading Company. Yoke's officially took over ownership Sunday, Sept. 11, 2014.

1976-03-02 An estimated 250 Cheneyites turned out to watch Mayor Gerald Blakely cut the ribbon and officially open the new Ranch Thrift and Ben Franklin stores at the site of the city’s first shopping center at the corner of SR904 and Marshall Road.
